He Died Young in a Foreign Land

This was an interesting old gravestone I found in a country cemetery.  It reads:

Died

Sep. 30, 1863

Aged 26 years

He left his native land in

1859 and spent the last 4

years of his life in the

service of Henry Oakes Esq
